How did supremo help?

I began my placement at Supremo at the end of my first year at University. Throughout my time doing a placement here, I have had the opportunity to majorly improve my design, development and communication skills, working directly with real clients on real projects. The guys here really put in the time to work with me, providing valuable feedback in how I could improve. The skills I gained here not only bettered me personally, but also improved my University work as I could apply the skills learnt here to my University projects. Two years on from starting my placement, I have been lucky enough to be be offered a job as a developer, right here at Supremo!

How did supremo help?

Supremo gave me the freedom I needed to try out new tools/techniques when starting a new project. By having this freedom it allowed me to enhance my web development skill set beyond a range I had previously anticipated. The team at Supremo provided a fantastic working environment and even on my first day I felt like I had been working there for years. With the experience I have had from Supremo it has helped to better prepare me for the working world, which I am deeply thankful for.

How did supremo help?

Supremo gave me my first proper placement after contacting me directly after they saw a website I made for a university project. It started with 6 days over 2 weeks and eventually became a recurring thing. As I do both design & development I got the chance to work with both Ian and Mike which gave me the opportunity to learn new skills that they had developed from their 10+ years experience in the industry. I took there skills and knowledge and applied it to the live briefs they gave me and about a year later they offered me a full time position as a designer and developer. They gave me my first shot in the industry and continue to teach and guide me today.

How did supremo help?

Supremo was my first "proper design job" even though it was only freelancing for them 2-3 days a week. The team provided a fantastic environment to work in and between them had loads of experience across a wide range of areas that I found really useful to be around. I worked at supremo to focus predominantly on Branding projects but found myself being given web design briefs also after a few weeks, which really helped to better my skill set in a much wider range than I initially anticipated. The main skill that I learned, and one that I've found absolutely fundamental to my new job, is being able to deal with briefs at industry level. The pace is much quicker and sometimes I found myself juggling several jobs at once, which I've now found is what being a designer is all about. Without my 6 months at supremo I definitely wouldn't have been ready for the current job that I'm working now.
